Initial thoughts on Look and Feel and Quality
The packing that VIP is pretty plain and looks a bit cheap so my expectations weren’t running high but these guys have very nearly got it just right with their product. I say nearly because the VIP batteries, or rather the single VIP battery isn’t perfect but the cartomizers are really very good. I guess one day someone will get both of these things perfect. One day. It might be a long wait.
In the packet you get just one battery, two spare cartomizers and a USB charger. I ripped open the packaging, screwed on the cartomizer and got stuck in. Forty seven puffs later the battery died but for the brief time that it lasted it was quite a pleasant experience.
In fairness, I recharged the VIP battery (about two hours) and gave the cartomizer another try and it was still pretty respectable. The product is of a decent size, similar to that of E-lites and Gamucci.
These guys are pretty clever too. Their cartomizers look like they should be interchangeable with a Gammuci or E-Lite battery. They are not. The eternal search for the love child of a good cartomizer matched with a good battery goes on. If it exists it’s probably called a sky-vip-ucci-lite or a Gam-lite-vip-cig which doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
Quality of Use – Including throat hit, amount of vapour produced and Ease of draw.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and volume of vapour from the VIP electronic cigarette. There is an enthusiastic amount of vapour, without being hysterical and it tastes fairly good but there are better tasting out there. It was a bit like, well, a bit like a cigarette without the hot bits. A fairly authentic taste.
Size and Functionality of the Battery
Not so impressed with the VIP battery. The basic starter kit came with just one and it doesn’t last very long and takes two hours to charge.Sigh.
Quality of the Cartomizers
As above. Slightly above average.
Description of the flavours available
We only tried the 16mg tobacco and it was really quite pleasant. As you can see from the image below VIP cartomizers come in a nice array of flavours. From virginia rolling to Organic Vanilla. So they provide something for everyone’s taste, though i would only stick with the two tobacco flavours.
Value for Money
Better than some but worse than others. If you over look the batteries and the packaging you have a very cost effective product. With their basic starter kit only £15.98, VIP represents good value for money initially and at £8.99 for a pack of 5 refills each, equivalent to 40 cigarettes, repeat purchases aren’t to pricey either. So all in all VIP shape up fairly well.

I love my VIP. I like the size hit and the refill cartridges aren’t that expensive in comparison to others I’ve used its the best.
I was happy with my VIP it’s stopped me smoking and my battery has lasted considerably longer than my old steam lite battery.
My dad bought me these and they hit the spot.
I agree the packaging could be worked on the but the product is A+++ I love it.
These products are OK. I might recommend them. They taste OK and I don’t bother with cigs anymore.
Up until a week ago I was on 20 a day (Marlboro Menthol) and had been smoking in and around this level for over 15 years. Bought the VIP on a whim after reading reviews. The half packet of ciggies I had when it arrived are still lying there untouched. I actually prefer the VIP.
Only problem is remembering to charge it (battery not great), but I’ve just ordered a second battery as back-up. Originally got the strongest menthol tips, but have just ordered the medium one (I enjoy smoking it so much I want weaker tips so I can smoke it a little more).
I’d say this is 90% like a real ciggie – one difference you notice is the weighting is different (heavier) and the filter is solid (rather than spongy). The smoke clears faster and it doesn’t sting your eyes.
To exchange real ciggies for these requires a little bit of willpower, but it really was nowhere as hard as I expected. I’ve tried to stop a handful of times over the years and really suffered – this is totally fine and enjoyable in its own way.
Just as enjoyable as a “real” cigarette & without all the drawbacks. I’ve been smoking for 40 years, & still do a little, but I’m on my way to converting completely to this. It’s a brilliant idea.
I have been using VIP for a couple of months now after 45 years of smoking, i saw a friend using hers and she introduced me to vaping, when i got my VIP i was on 30-40 normal cigs a day, i now only use the VIP at a considerable saving, i have recommended them to many people including people i have met in the street that have seen me puffing it, i was in my local chemist today speaking to the pharmacist and he is going to look into stocking them in his chemist, what a great product at a great price, i love my VIP, thanks so much, loving it
I personally don’t see what the hype about VIP is on the internet. They don’t seem to be anything special. I went back to using mine recently and now find the flavour of them to be quite bland in comparison to the sweeter, richer tasting Freedom Cigarettes which I now use.
the best tasting i,ve had yet battery life is yeh not the best, always have a back up, the value for money is great.
